Rostelecom gets 100% of Lukoil's telecom arm for oil, gas projects
MOSCOW, May 3 (PRIME) -- Russian state-controlled telecom operator Rostelecom has consolidated 100% of Inform, a telecommunications business of oil major Lukoil, Rostelecom said on Wednesday in a statement.
“Acquisition of a 49.9% stake left after the first stage of the deal will ensure completion of formation of an industrial center of excellence and will enable Rostelecom to develop projects in the oil and gas field,” the operator said.
The center of excellence for the digital development of oil and gas companies, based on Inform, will be available to the customers with many advanced telecom and IT services.
“The synergy that emerges from the merger of the partner’s industry expertise with our powerful infrastructure opens new opportunities for Rostelecom’s customers in the oil and gas industry,” Rostelecom Senior Vice President Valery Yermakov said.
